Subhas C Mondal, Chief Architect, Wipro

Subhas is the chief Architect for 5G at Wipro Limited. He is driving the architecture for the end to end 5G solutions across all the industry segments that Wipro cater to. Subhas is a Distinguished member of technical staff, IEEE Senior member and an IEEE distinguished speaker under Bangalore chapter.

He holds 2 granted patents with more patent applications under processing. Subhas is an engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur in Electronics and Electrical communication engineering.

 

Sruthi Kannan – Head, Cisco LaunchPad

Sruthi runs the Cisco LaunchPad startup accelerator. She works with startups for co-creating end to end digital solutions focused on technology areas like IoT, Collaboration, Security, Network and Infra, Analytics, etc. Through LaunchPad, she supports startups in their entrepreneurial journey by providing access to a wide gamut of resources including Mentorship, Grants, Technology Support, Investor Connects and Customer Access.

Prior to Cisco LaunchPad, she worked with Tier 1 Telecom providers around the world implementing and deploying 2G, 3G and 4G solutions. Sruthi holds a Masters in Psychology and Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering.

 

Vadiraja Bhatt – Principal Engineer, Emerging Technology Solutions, UCS Group

Vadi leads the UCS Analytics, BigData and SmartCity solutions in India. He has 20+ years of experience in developing and architecting Enterprise  solutions. Vadiís expertise include Enterprise Database design , Enterprise application design and performance engineering. His team has been designing and developing best practices various enterprise applications solutions on UCS . His team also publishes industry standard benchmark numbers like TPC and SPEC on the UCS platform. Prior to joining Cisco, Vadi was a TechnicalDirector at SAP, working on Database products like ASE and IQ in the area of  performance engineering.

He holds 6 US patents to his credit in the area of Database design. He holds Masters degree from IIT, Mumbai in Computer Science and Engineering

 

Dr. Navin Kumar – Assoc. Prof. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University), Bangalore, Chair, ComSoc Bangalore Chapter. Sr. Member IEEE, IET(UK), IAENG(HK), IETE, IE(India) Global ICT Standardization Forum for India (GISFI)

Dr Navin has over 20 years of industry and teaching experience which includes around 10 years of overseas experience in teaching and research and development. He has over 50 peer review journals and conference proceedings along with a book and book chapter. He has worked on many international EU projects. Currently he is an Associate Professor in ECE Dept. of Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham,
Bangalore Campus. He often delivers tutorial and talk  at major events including flagship conference IEEE ICC, WCNC.

His research areas are 5G Wireless Technology, mmWave Technology, Visible Light Communications, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Smart City

Prof. Goutam Chakraborty – Professor and Head of the Intelligent Informatics laboratory, Iwate Prefectural University, Japan

Prof. Goutam Chakraborty received his Ph.D. in 1993 from Tohoku University, Japan. Before joining Tohoku University, he worked in    Telecommunication Industry in India. Presently, he is Professor and head of the Intelligent Informatics laboratory, Department of the Software and Information Science, Iwate Prefectural University, Japan.

His research interests are Soft Computing algorithms and their applications to solve pattern recognition, prediction, scheduling and optimization problemsincluding applications in wired, wireless, and sensor Networks.

He works in the analysis of various time-series signals, collected by sensors from nature, human body as well as machines. Recently, he is also interested in scale-free networks and applications in large-data mining problems.

 

Narayanan Rajagopal – Senior Scientist, Power Systems, CTO RnI, Tata Consultancy Services, Bangalore

Mr.Rajagopal is presently, as part of the Corporate Technology team, working on Power System Network Analysis tools delivered to the user over the web on the Software–as–a-Service Model. He closely works with research teams in leading academic institutions to develop new solutions meeting the challenges faced by electricity utilities in the areas of integration of distributed energy resources and microgrids, analytics in the area power system network studies and electricity demand analysis.

He is engaged in Smart grid solutions conceptualization, Analytics development, Evaluation of Smart grid technologies, He is a certified SGMM Navigator. Has worked in product development, system application, test system development, customer training, application engineering of substation and distribution automation  systems (SA and DA) as part of ABB R&D. He has successfully executed various pilot solutions and has worked with dynamic test environments for IEDs and Numerical Relays. He has good working knowledge of communication products, Data Models in power system and automation areas. He actively participate in Industry Fora and Standards Development

His industry affiliations include Senior Member, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), U.S.A., Member, The IET, UK., Member, Institution of Engineers, India. He is the author and co-author of many papers on Smart Grid Processes, Methodology, Condition Monitoring, Protection and Automation.

 

Ashwani Kumar – Director, Head of Technology Standardization, Ericsson India Pvt. Ltd.

Ashwani brings 25 years of rich global experience in ICT industry, having worked in various roles and capacities in wireless and wireline   domains. He is currently leading technology & spectrum standardization for 3GPP mobile technologies and technical regulations for Ericsson, India. In past he has worked with Indian state telco BSNL, DoT & Telecom Engineering Centre for 15 years followed by British Telecom at UK.
He has been with Ericsson since 2008 having worked in various roles comprising network planning, deployment and managed operations for enterprise and mobility services. He is currently leading 5G standardization at 3GPP and playing an active role in global harmonization of mmW spectrum for 5G under WRC-19 and IMT-2020 evaluation initiatives of ITU-R. He is also actively engaged in regional standardization at TSDSI as a Governing Council member and as Chair for Study Group 5 on 5G for smart cities at BIS LITD28.

At TEC, Ashwani has played a key role in standardization and induction of SDH, DWDM, ADSL2+/VDSL and GPON, IP/MPLS, DWDM technologies in India; and successful indigenous development of STM- 1/4/16 and DWDM technology in collaboration with CDoT (Center for Development of Telematics) in India. He has actively led Optical and IP/MPLS transport technologies in actively engagement with key global SDOs (ITU, IEEE, MEF, TMN Forum, ITU-APT etc.) representing India for 6 years during 2001-
2006. At British Telecom in UK, Ashwani worked on BT’s prestigious 21st Century NGN transformation program for two years for IP/Voice network & OSS designs. A B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication) and M. Tech. (Micro-Electronics) from IIT-Roorkee, he started his career with DoT (India) through Indian Telecom Services (ITS). He is currently pursuing MBA from Amity University (India).

 

Ms. Tulika Pandey – Director Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, GoI

Ms.Pandey holds a B. Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering (BIT Sindri, Jharkhand) with multiple diplomas in IPR (Indian Law Institute), Interet Governance and has done a series of various courses in Internet Resource management (APNIC, Australia), Digital structures (Sweden), Governance & Informatization (South Korea).

She currently holds the post of Scientist ‘F’ & Director, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. She has experience of 26 years with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, since 1992. Her areas of work are Microelectronics & Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems(MEMs); Digitization & Digitalization, E-Learning, E-Readiness Assessment Methodologies; Technology Development for Indian Languages; Domain Names; E-Infrastructure; IPv6; Internet Governance; Convergence, Communications & Broadband Technologies; 5G; Convergence of Cognitive Radio Frequency with Internet; Alternate Technologies for Connectivity in Rural India; Smart Cities; Digital Payments, Security especially in Digital Payments, Emerging Technologies – IoT, Data Analytics, Blockchain Technology & Artificial Intelligence; Transforming Villages to Smart Villages is a new assignment.

Hemanth Rath – Senior Scientist at TCS Research & Innovation

Hemanth is a Senior Member of IEEE and IARCS and holds MTech and PhD from IIT Bombay, India and BE in EL&TCE from VSSUT Burla, Odisha. He has more than 20 years  of experience in academics, research and industry. At present, Hemant is a Senior Scientist at TCS Research & Innovation, Bangalore/Bhubaneswar, where he is working since Dec 2010. Prior to TCS he was with KIIT Bhubaneswar as an Associate Professor (2009-10), Manager at Usha Martin Academy – IIT Madras (2000-02), Scientist at CEERI Centre  New Delhi (1998-2000).

His research interests include: Augmented Robotics, Fog computing, Mobile Edge computing, QoS in Networks, 5G Network Design, Software Defined Networks, etc. He has published many research papers and presented many talks in national and international conferences and journal such as IEEE Globecom, ICC, SECON, COMSWARE, TENCON, COMSNETS, NCC, PIMRC, INDICON, ACM ICDCN, ITU-T, BWCI-COAI Workshop etc., and has filled/obtained several patents in the broad areas of communication and networking. He is also active in national and international standardization (IoT – ITU-T, GISFI, TSDSI, IEEE) in the areas of networking and communications.

 

AT Kishore  – Principal Consultant Telecom,UTL Technologies

Aeronautical Engineer electronics by Air Force training, Shri Kishore served as a commissioned officer in short service after a two year stint with National Informatics Center as its DIO, post his Masters in Technologies with applied electronics research in Thin film Hybrid Micro Electronics Lab, DLRL HYD.AT Kishore served Alcatel Lucent for a decade and half as its DGM and received Long Service Award from India Product Realization Centre, RU India. His contributions to fields of CDMA and SIP protocol are known through his white papers published in cdg.org and his international SIP forum discussions alongside inventors of SIP protocol like Henning Schulzrinne. His current research areas of interest are Smart Cities, Blockchain,RPA,CRPA,5G,IoT, AI,DL and Machine Learning

Ever since the advent of LTE standard evolutions started, he was involved in serving customers in deployments at Indian in international communications service providers networks such as RCOM,RIL, Eti Salat,AT&T[NJ], VzW, TATA Tele, MTNL,BSNL(DoT) and VNPT to name a few. Currently he is mentor for ATAL Innovations Mission, and SIH2017,SIH2018,SIH2019[planning phase] and evaluator for APIT Academy Electrothon 2018.

He is part of SKill India Mission, India Technical Economic Cooperation and Digital India mission from UTL Technologies, a pioneer in several Govt. Missions in coordination with C-DoT which provides ToT.

Flt.Lt.AT Kishore[rtd.] currently is senior member of IEEE since 23 April 2016 and held several executive committee responsibilities such as Secretary ComSoc 2017, OC member of ANTS since 2016 for all subsequent years spree.

 

Nishant Krishna – Entrepreneur, Software Architect, Innovator and Inventor

Nishant has 18+ years of experience working on EdTech, Cloud and Virtualization, Software-Defined Network (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, Machine Learning, security compliance, API Development and Network Management Systems (NMS). He is Co-founder of “Tech Machinery and More Pvt. Ltd.” and Head of Technology at NumberNagar. Also working on few architectural consultancy projects in Cloud,
Security, UX, IoT and Machine Learning. 4 patents granted and 7 patents filed/pending with US Patent Office and India Patent Office in the areas of Network Management Systems, Cloud, Virtualization, SDN Technologies, Security, and Anti-Counterfeiting technologies.

He  participates actively in User Experience (UX) and Wireframing related activities. His areas of interest include Cloud and Virtualization, Machine Learning, IoT, UX, User Interfaces, Network Security, Ethical Hacking, Cryptography, Anti- Counterfeiting technologies, public speaking and latest tech and gadgets. He is an active member and contributor to numerous technical meetups. He is also a contributor to IEEE conferences and IEEE standards (P1931.1, P1451-99), and member of subcommittees and working groups working on defining standards for IoT and Smart Cities.
